Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is a government-owned organization that was founded in 1985 by an act that aimed at the development and promotion of exports of scheduled goods. It offers financial assistance in the form of information, guidance, and guidelines to creating scheduled items. The products that are covered in APEDA ACT are called schedule products. Exporters of scheduled products must register under APEDA.


Registration Process for APDA

To be registered under APEDA The applicant must complete the application within one month from the date they began the business. If an exporter who is scheduled to export products does not register within the time frame because of a valid reason the deadline can be extended at the discretion of the Authority. After the application is submitted and the fee is paid by the applicant authorities issue a Registration Cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC). The registration is a one-time process and all registered members are subject to the rules and regulations of the APEDA Act

Documents Required for APDA Registration

  • Completely completed an application form
  • Copy of Import Export code provided by D.G.F.T.
  • Bank Certificate that has been certified by the authorities
  • Bank A/c. Statement of the bank account of the company (for the most recent 2 months)
  • Cancelled cheque leaf
